Feasting With FARE: Red Velvet Waffles

A top-9 free delicious red velvet treat that will make you fall in love.

Red Velvet Waffles


  • 2 cups of gluten-free flour
  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • ½ tsp. xanthan gum
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 cups dairy-free milk
  • ⅓ cup cooking oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1-1½ tbsp. red food coloring


  1. In a large bowl combine all dry ingredients and mix together.
  2. In a second bowl, combine all of the wet ingredients and whisk. 
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients and stir until mixed. Don't over mix them. If the batter is too thick, add a little water or more dairy-free milk. The batter should be a nice pouring consistency. 
  4. Spray or brush your waffle iron with oil of choice, and cook and enjoy your waffles!
