FARE Issues Statement Regarding FDA Extension of Comment Period for Sesame Labeling
Statement to be attributed to Lisa Gable, Chief Executive Officer, FARE: “Today, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) announced it would extend the comment period on its draft voluntary sesame labeling guidance adding another 45 days to the timeline. FARE is grateful for this extension as it affords an opportunity for the 1.5 million who are allergic to sesame and the more than 32 million Americans suffering from potentially life-threatening food allergies to share their thoughts and feelings on this incredibly important issue.”
