Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships

Corporate Revenue Growth & New Business Development

• Develop and execute FARE’s corporate fundraising strategy in partnership with the SVP of Development.
• Manage a significant portfolio of corporate prospects and partners with specific annual revenue and pipeline goals. 
• Build and actively manage a robust pipeline of qualified prospects sufficient to support current and future revenue goals. 
• Proactively identify and pursue new opportunities across healthcare and life sciences, hospitality, retail, food service, travel, consumer products and other relevant industries. 
• Lead opportunities through the full fundraising cycle—from identification and cultivation through solicitation, negotiation and close. 
• Secure significant six- and seven-figure investments, with an emphasis on multi-year partnerships. 
• Leverage FARE leadership, Board members and other relationships strategically to open doors and advance priority opportunities. 

Portfolio Growth & Partnership Development

• Develop strategies to retain, renew, upgrade, and expand existing corporate relationships. 
• Move partners beyond transactional sponsorships toward broader institutional relationships aligned with FARE’s mission and the partner’s business, philanthropic and social-impact objectives. 
• Develop compelling partnership concepts, investment levels, sponsorship packages, proposals and executive-level presentations. 
• Translate FARE’s research, advocacy, education, patient support and other mission priorities into accessible and compelling investment opportunities. 
• Coordinate with internal colleagues to ensure commitments are fulfilled while maintaining a strong focus on revenue growth and partnership expansion. 

Healthcare, Life Sciences & Consumer Partnerships

• In collaboration with the SVP and CEO, help lead Development’s fundraising strategy for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics and other healthcare and life sciences companies. 
• Develop revenue opportunities with hospitality, food service, retail, travel, and other consumer-facing companies. 
• Work closely with FARE’s PACT Alliance and other industry initiatives to identify opportunities to expand relationships into philanthropic, sponsorship and strategic partnerships. 
• Partner with FARE’s scientific, advocacy, policy, education and programmatic leaders to develop appropriate funding opportunities while ensuring substantive mission work remains led by FARE’s subject-matter experts.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Pipeline Management

• Serve as a primary corporate fundraising partner to FARE’s Research, Programs, Advocacy, Communications, Marketing, Finance and other teams. 
• Prepare senior leadership and Board members for corporate cultivation and solicitation, including relationship strategies, briefing materials and recommended asks. 
• Maintain disciplined portfolio and move management in Salesforce, including accurate opportunity information, forecasts and next steps. 
• Provide regular pipeline and revenue reporting to the SVP and proactively identify risks and opportunities against annual goals. 
   

• Demonstrated track record of personally developing, soliciting and closing significant corporate partnerships and generating substantial revenue. 
• Experience securing six- and seven-figure corporate commitments and building sustainable, multi-year partnerships. 
• Strong new business development orientation and demonstrated ability to build and convert a qualified prospect pipeline. 
• Experience working with large national or global companies, including Fortune 500–1000 organizations. 
• Strong understanding of corporate decision-making and the ability to connect mission and organizational assets with business, philanthropic and social-impact priorities. 
• Exceptional relationship building, negotiation, solicitation, and closing skills. 
• Strong executive presence and ability to engage credibly with senior corporate executives, Board members, and organizational leadership. 
• Excellent business writing, storytelling and presentation skills, including the ability to independently create compelling proposals, sponsorship packages, and pitch presentations. 
• Ability to translate complex scientific, healthcare, advocacy, and programmatic information into compelling investment opportunities. 
• Entrepreneurial mindset, sound judgment and ability to independently advance complex opportunities in a fast-paced environment. 
• Sophisticated portfolio, pipeline and move-management skills, including proficiency with Salesforce or a comparable CRM. 
• Strong collaboration skills with clear accountability for results. 
• Ability to travel as needed. 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in corporate fundraising, strategic partnerships, business development or a closely related field, preferably including significant nonprofit fundraising experience. 
• Demonstrated success generating significant corporate revenue and managing complex, multi-year partnerships. 
• Experience across healthcare/life sciences and/or consumer-facing industries
  strongly preferred. 
• Experience in healthcare, patient advocacy, nonprofit or other mission-driven organization preferred. 

Success will be measured primarily by achievement of assigned corporate revenue and portfolio goals and contribution toward FARE’s overall corporate revenue target, including:

• Growth in new corporate revenue and partnerships. 
• Development and conversion of a qualified prospect pipeline. 
• Successful closing of significant six- and seven-figure opportunities. 
• Retention, renewal, and expansion of existing partners. 
• Growth in multi-year commitments. 
• Quality and effectiveness of partnership concepts, proposals, and presentations. 
• Accurate forecasting and disciplined pipeline management. 
• Ability to independently move complex opportunities from identification through close.
