Food Allergy Awareness Girl Scout Patch
Girl Scouts can earn the Teal Pumpkin Project Patch by participating in FARE's Teal Pumpkin Project. This annual Halloween program encourages houses to offer non-food treats so trick-or-treaters with food allergy or other dietary restrictions can take part in the fun.
To earn the patch, Girl Scouts 1) display a teal pumpkin or Teal Pumpkin Project sign, 2) offer non-food treats, and 3) add their home to the Teal Pumpkin Project Map to help trick-or-treaters find them.

Why it Matters
Halloween can be challenging for children managing food allergy because many traditional treats may not be safe for them.
The Teal Pumpkin Project promotes safety, inclusion, and awareness so that every child can enjoy Halloween traditions without feeling left out. By taking part, Girl Scouts help create more welcoming communities and make Halloween a positive experience for everyone.
