This Year, FARE is Coming to You!

McLEAN, Va.—Aug. 6, 2026—FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education) today announced it has taken its programming on the road, offering a series of regional events held across the country. A reimagining of the annual FARE Food Allergy Summit, these events bring resources to food allergy families in more communities, to provide education and opportunities to connect closer to home.

"We’ve designed each event to create a meaningful experience, tailored for different age groups with opportunities to learn and connect. We can’t wait to welcome familiar faces, meet new members of our community and share these experiences together.”

The series launched July 18 with a free, open-to-the-public Back-to-School event at the Kansas City Public Library’s Plaza Branch where families gathered for a top-9 allergen-free school lunch demo, an Ask-the-Expert panel and other health resources. The event was made possible through the 15 and FARE initiative, a partnership between FARE and 15 and the Mahomies Foundation, which expands access to food allergy education, awareness, and resources to families in the Kansas City area. 
Following the Kansas City kickoff, FARE is bringing its regional event series to both coasts, with upcoming events in Stanford, California and Boston, Massachusetts. 

Stanford, California: Aug. 22, 2026, 8 a.m.to 4 p.m.: FARE’s Regional Summit: Real Talk. Real Solutions. event will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Stanford Faculty Club on the Stanford University campus. Designed for caregivers, adults living with food allergy, tweens and teens aged 11 and older, the summit will feature expert-led educational sessions, practical strategies for navigating everyday life with food allergy, and opportunities to connect with others in the community. Speakers will include: Sharon Chinthrajah, MD, Stanford University School of Medicine; Tina Sindher, MD, Stanford University School of Medicine; Melissa Engel, PhD, Northwestern University, CFAAR (Center for Food Allergy & Asthma Research); Christopher Warren, PhD, Northwestern University, CFAAR (Center for Food Allergy & Asthma Research); and Kelly Cleary, MD, MPH. 

Fenway Park, Boston, Massachusetts: Sept. 8, 2026, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.: FARE will host a special event at Fenway Park for young adults ages 21 and older that brings together food allergy safety, expert education, and community with the excitement of a Red Sox vs. Angels game. The evening will begin with a panel discussion featuring Michael Pistiner, MD, MMSc, and Wayne Shreffler, MD, PhD, of Massachusetts General Hospital, moderated by FARE’s Dr. Cleary. Together, they'll explore the real-life challenges young adults with food allergies face, from navigating social situations, dating, dining out, and increasing independence to managing mental health, transitioning to adult care, and the latest advances in food allergy treatment and management. Throughout the discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive practical advice from leaders in the field.

Following the panel, attendees will enjoy the Red Sox vs. Angels game while building connections with other young adults in the food allergy community. Attendees will enjoy top-9 allergen-free cocktails, dinner, and game-day snacks in a welcoming, food allergy-friendly environment, demonstrating that living with food allergies doesn't mean missing out on iconic experiences.
