Statement of Sung Poblete, RN, PhD, CEO of FARE regarding FARE’s Head of Research stepping down from a leadership role

March 31, 2023 – Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) today announces that Dr. Bruce Roberts, FARE’s Chief Research Strategy & Information Officer, has resigned in order to devote time to family matters. 

Leveraging his decades of experience in the biomedical industry, Bruce Roberts, PhD led FARE’s research team and scientific initiatives for the past 3 years. He played a key role in setting up the FARE Clinical Network, and establishing the FARE Biobank and Biomarker Discovery Center, as well as the FARE Patient Registry. Under his guidance, the FARE Innovation Award Diagnostic Challenge also expanded in scope and stature. 

Prior to joining FARE, Dr. Roberts served as Chief Scientific Officer at Vedanta Biosciences and held numerous research and development roles at major medical corporations including Sanofi and Genzyme. He is also a regularly published author in the Journal of Immunology, the Journal of Neuroimmunology, and other widely respected medical publications. 

FARE remains committed to supporting patients across their food allergy journey through efforts focused equally on research, education, and advocacy, with the foundational support of health equity. Through collaborative partnership models and innovative approaches to research, FARE will continue to address the critical needs of those with food allergies as a leader in the space.
