Statement by Sung Poblete, PhD, RN, CEO of FARE, regarding the successful “I CAN” fundraising campaign with OWYN and Brittany Mahomes

As we welcome the New Year, I’d like to reflect back on what a remarkable year 2023 was. I am filled with immense gratitude for the incredible support we have received in our mission to improve the quality of life and health of those with food allergies through transformative research, education, and advocacy. We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to the generosity of our donors and the outstanding partnership of OWYN and Brittany Mahomes, we have successfully exceeded our end-of-year Holiday Fundraising Campaign goal to raise much needed funding to transform the future of food allergy patients.

“I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our friends at OWYN, the nutrition brand behind the leading plant-based protein shake, and Brittany Mahomes, co-owner of the Kansas City Current soccer team, wife of Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and food allergy mom, for their match donation to FARE this holiday season. Their commitment to our mission demonstrates the power of organizations and individuals coming together to create positive change.

We are inspired by the collective effort to make a difference in the lives of those affected by food allergies. As we look forward to the coming year, we are energized by the possibilities and grateful for each and every individual who stands with us on this important journey.
