FARE Launches New Public Service Announcement, RISE
PSA encourages the more than 33 million people in the U.S. living with food allergy to connect with the community, learn their options, and take action
McLEAN, Va.—September 9, 2025—FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education) today announced the release of a new public service announcement (PSA), RISE. Using dance as a metaphor, the PSA encourages the 33 million people in the U.S. living with food allergy to move beyond fear by learning their options, connecting with the community, and taking action. The PSA is sponsored by Genentech, a member of the Roche Group, and Novartis Pharmaceutical Corporation.
The video features performer, coach, and food allergy advocate Andy Hartman; dancer and actor Hugo Miller, also a person with food allergies; as well as dance partners Sophia Oddi and Anne Kim. Choreographed by the acclaimed Laura Miller, RISE evokes the challenges and triumphs of the food allergy community.
“RISE reminds us that when we are informed, we’re empowered to better manage our food allergies,” said Sung Poblete, PhD, RN, CEO of FARE. “The PSA is about reclaiming confidence, building community, and having open conversations with your healthcare provider. We’re proud to introduce this PSA.”
FARE’s commitment to progress is reflected in its work on behalf of the food allergy community. By enabling early-stage research, maintaining the FARE Patient Registry, and coordinating the FARE Clinical Network, along with other parallel initiatives, FARE supports both scientific advancement and improved patient access to care. Through collaboration with industry and other partners, FARE continues to drive momentum across a landscape that has previously been stagnant.
