Recent college graduate Lily Roth is a vocal food allergy advocate and volunteer for FARE’s Food Allergy Heroes Walk in Pittsburgh. Lily majored in emergency medicine with a minor in chemistry and plans to attend medical school to become a pediatric emergency physician and an EMS physician.

The FARE Patient Registry marks its first-year anniversary today. We’re celebrating this milestone by encouraging food allergy patients (or their legal representatives) to join the registry’s clinical trial.

Food Allergy Awareness Week shines a light on the seriousness of food allergies each year in May. FARE’s Hometown Heroes Community Walk for Food Allergy launched last year as a volunteer-driven FARE supported fun and festive event in cities and towns where there is no Food Allergy Heroes Walk.

In 2017, Food Allergy Awareness Week reached millions of people around the United States and beyond through FARE’s Food For Thought videos, social media, building lightings, news stories, and local outreach from volunteers like Lana.

Food Allergy Awareness Week kicks off on Sunday! You can shine a light on food allergies by raising awareness and encouraging others to honor Food Allergy Awareness Week from May 13 -19.

If you have been prescribed epinephrine, FARE recommends that you carry two epinephrine auto-injectors with you at all times to make sure you have quick access to this life-saving medication.

This spring, FARE is working with federal legislators and regulators to protect health and improve quality of life for individuals with food allergy.
