  • Board buses at the Willard with luggage

8:45 a.m.

  • Buses depart Willard

Approximately 9:05 – 9:25 a.m.

  • Depart buses at Peace Circle in front of the Capitol, bus captains, and advocates will walk for about ten minutes to the back side of the Capitol and gather on the Senate steps. Buses to drop off luggage at Florida House.

9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

  • The Florida House, 1 2nd St NE (behind the U.S. Supreme Court) is open and will be staffed and include Top-9 free snacks, coffee, tea, water, and sodas.

9:05 a.m.

  • Depart buses at Constitution and Delaware Ave NW, bus captains walk advocates to the back side of the Capitol where FARE staff is waiting on Senate steps. Buses to drop-off luggage at Florida House.

9:15 a.m. – 9:40 p.m.

  • Advocates and FARE staff gather on Senate steps for pictures and videos.

9:40 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

  • Advocates and FARE staff depart Senate steps for House and Senate office buildings.

10:40 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

  • Advocates meet with staff and potentially, members of Congress.

Lunch

On your own. Advocates are allowed to bring food into the House and Senate buildings. There are also cafeterias and small dining areas in House and Senate buildings and restaurants on Pennsylvania Ave past the Library of Congress on the House side.

Afternoon

Following your last meeting, advocates walk to The Florida House, claim luggage, and depart for Union Station, local airports, or parking garage.
