Anisah Daniel

High school Senior and Passionate Food Allergy Advocate

Anisah is a senior in high school and a passionate food allergy advocate. Having multiple severe food allergies, she strives to use her voice to make a difference. As part of FARE’s teen advisory group for the past 2 years, she has led projects that aid those struggling with food allergies and food insecurity. Last year, her project involved collecting allergy-friendly items and donating these items to food pantries. This year, she is the co-lead of a youth-led nationwide policy scan that aims to collect essential data for the food allergy community. She serves as a member of the Food Equality Initiative’s teen advisory board to further understand the intersection between food allergies and food insecurity. She has also been an avid advocate for the FASTER Act through meeting with lawmakers at FARE’s Courage at Congress and reaching out to local officials. Her continuous involvement in policy work has given her valuable experience that she hopes to share with other teens aspiring to become a food allergy advocate.
