Food For Thought

FARE developed the Food For Thought video series in 2017 to address the reality of the burden of food allergy and to shatter the myths and misperception around this real and potentially deadly disease. For five weeks starting on May 15, FARE will share a new video that tackles a specific question or aspect of the food allergy issue, using personal stories, statistics and real-life examples. FARE would like to thank each member of the food allergy community that appeared in the Food for Thought series, including parents, members of FARE’s Clinical Advisory Board, researchers, and in particular Dr. Hemant Sharma, who provided invaluable assistance for this project.

Research on the Cutting Edge

Why are food allergies on the rise? How can we treat food allergies? What causes food allergies? Hear from leading food allergy researchers from all over the country who are working on answering these questions in this video from FARE, the world’s largest private funder of food allergy research.

Media Misrepresentation

Food allergy is misrepresented and misunderstood in the media. Comedians, talk show hosts, and other members of the media often make light of the seriousness of food allergy, which encourages the public to not take food allergies seriously. FARE’s goal is to educate the public about the facts.
