FARE’s awareness programs are designed to help educate the public about food allergies and raise awareness about the disease in communities nationwide. We encourage you to get involved with the programs below to help us make a difference!
Food Allergy Awareness Week
In 1998, the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network, now FARE, created Food Allergy Awareness Week to educate the public about food allergies. This year's awareness week falls on May 14-20, 2017, but we will have activities and ways to get involved throughout the entire month of May.
Teal Pumpkin Project™
The Teal Pumpkin Project™ is designed to promote safety, inclusion and respect of individuals managing food allergies – and to keep Halloween a fun, positive experience for all.
Discovery Channel Documentary
FARE teamed up with The Discovery Channel to produce a documentary about food allergies called “An Emerging Epidemic: Food Allergies in America.” The hour-long documentary, narrated by Steve Carell, is available to watch in full online. Watch and share to help raise awareness!
In addition to our Most Popular Resources, FARE has a number of posters, handouts, activity sheets and materials available for free download or purchase to help you raise awareness in your community about food allergies. View resources >
