About the Bullying Prevention PSA

The "It's Not a Joke" PSA seeks to help raise awareness about the seriousness of food allergies and the dangers of food allergy bullying.

About one-third of kids with food allergies report that they have been bullied because of their allergies.

FARE created the "It's Not a Joke" PSA to help raise awareness about the seriousness of food allergies and the dangers of food allergy bullying.

Unfortunately, many people do not understand the potentially life-threatening nature of this disease. What they believe is a prank can actually be very harmful and very dangerous.

Teen actor and former “Shake It Up” star Kenton Duty provided the voiceover for our PSA, which debuted in 2013. Kenton has publicly shared his own story of living with food allergies and being bullied because of it.

We hope this PSA will help raise awareness of food allergies and anaphylaxis. We also hope it helps adults and teens across the country understand they can play an important role in preventing food allergy bullying.

Be a part of the solution: Stop food allergy bullying.
