Let’s hear your big idea! The FARECon featuring Teen Summit Innovation Tank offers teens the opportunity to present an innovative idea that could help improve the lives of people with food allergies. We want you to develop a bold solution to a problem within the food allergy community and showcase it at FARE's third annual Innovation Tank!
Concept Category: Teens must research and present a well thought out concept for how to address a problem faced by the food allergy community. The winner of this category will be named FARE's Rising Young Innovator of the Year.
Prototype Category: Teens must have taken their well thought out concept for addressing a problem in the food allergy community and turned it into a real prototype, service or product. The winner of this category will be named FARE's Young Innovator of the Year.
Teens who have participated in the past are eligible to submit again. For teens who submitted a previous prototype, this year's submission must be a new idea. For teens who previously submitted a concept, they may submit the same idea again if they have since developed it into a prototype, service or product.
Teens wishing to be considered for either category must submit a video up to 60 seconds long explaining their idea and how it will impact the food allergy community. Video submissions must answer the following questions:
- What is your idea?
- What problem does it solve within the food allergy community?
- How would the community access your product or service?
- Prototype submissions must also feature the prototype, service or product.
Up to 8 finalists will be chosen. Each finalist must be present and available to present at FARECon ft Teen Summit between Friday, November 2 and Sunday, November 4, 2018 in Washington, DC.
