Major Moments in Food Allergy in 2015

As we approach the close of 2015, it is exciting to reflect on the accomplishments of the past year and look toward all that is ahead in 2016. On behalf of everyone at FARE and the food allergy community we serve, thank you for your support. You have helped make so many important programs and services possible.

Through your generosity, FARE continues to drive the advancement of food allergy research in order to change – and save – lives.

  • Championed the introduction of the Airline Access to Emergency Epinephrine Act (S. 1972). If passed, this bipartisan bill would direct the U.S. Government Accountability Office to generate a national report examining airline policies for accommodating passengers with food allergies, providing important data that can help shape airline policies going forward.
  • Encouraged Americans to take action and make an impact during Food Allergy Action Month. This year, Niagara Falls was lit teal on May 11 and President Barack Obama shared a Presidential Message with everyone affected by food allergy.
