WEBINAR: Taking Action to Better Manage Food Allergies
January 30, 2024 from 3:00 – 3:45 p.m. ET
This interactive webinar features an allergist, an immunologist, a patient, a caregiver, and a patient advocate who will discuss the causes of an allergic reaction, the role of IgE Immunoglobulin E (IgE) in food allergies and new treatment options. The panel will also take questions from the live audience.
Oral immunotherapy (OIT) has improved tolerance to certain foods in people with food allergies, but it has drawbacks. A better understanding of IgE-mediated food allergies has led to advances in management including the use of biologic agents that control the mechanisms that cause food allergies.
