Slow Cooker Apple Crisp

Ingredients

6 Fuji apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
1 1/2 T. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
dash of ground cloves
3/4 cup milk-free margarine, softened

Directions

Grease 3- or 4-quart slow cooker. Place apple slices in bottom. In medium bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, and spices. Cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle flour mixture over apples. Cover and cook on high 3 hours, or until apples are soft.

    Does this work with GF flour? And if so, any specific flour mix (homemade or bought) that works best?

    After two hours, the mixture seemed to get a little dry. I added a little cider to keep it moist and turned it down to low heat.
