Milk-free, Egg-free Banana Bread

Ingredients

1/3 cup shortening
2/3 cup sugar
1 3/4 cup sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 cup mashed ripe bananas(2 large or 3 small)

Directions


Lightly grease and flour 8x4x3 loaf pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together shortening and sugar. In separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Stir into to shortening mixture, alternating with bananas. Mix until smooth. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 50-60 minutes. Cool on wire rack 10-15 minutes before removing from pan.

    I am honerd this recipe was subbmitted I have baked it several times for my son who has milk , egg and , nut allergys he LOVES it and he calls it nanna bread
