Ingredients

1 cup sugar, plus extra for topping
3/4 cup milk-free margarine, softened
1 1/2 T. water, 1 1/2 T. oil, 1 tsp. baking powder, mixed together
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
4 (1-oz.) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted

Directions

Preheat oven to 375°. In large bowl, with
an electric mixer on medium speed, beat
sugar and margarine until creamy. Beat
in water, oil, and baking powder mixture;
and vanilla extract. Beat in flour, baking
powder, and salt. Mix well. Beat in melted
chocolate. Shape dough into 1-inch balls
and place 1 inch apart on ungreased
cookie sheet. Moisten bottom of drinking
glass and dip in sugar. Flatten balls
slightly with bottom of sugared glass.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Cool on
wire racks.
