Advocacy Update
This session will address how you can support legislative and regulatory efforts that impact the food allergy community. Special focus will be given to the School Access to Emergency Epinephrine Act (S. 1884/H.R. 3627), federal legislation that would encourage states to adopt laws requiring schools to have on hand “stock” epinephrine auto-injectors – meaning epinephrine that is not prescribed specifically to a single student but can be used for any student and staff member in an anaphylactic emergency.

Clinical and school-based nurses are invited to attend a breakout session featuring leading nurses in food allergy education and research. Participating nurses are encouraged to bring their questions related to schools, elimination diets, food challenges, and other topics of professional interest.
