Allergen-specific basophil suppression associated with clinical tolerance in patients with milk allergy

Scientists sought to determine whether children with milk allergy who can ingest extensively heated milk have reduced IgE-mediated white blood cell (basophil) responses. The study could one day assist physicians identify which patients are more likely to have severe reactions and which are candidates for outgrowing their allergy.
