Partnering with National Agencies & Associations

In February, 2009, FAAN participated in an Expert Panel Work Group overseen by the CDC’s Division of Adolescent and School Health (DASH) and the USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service (FNS).

The Work Group is in the process of developing materials to help school staff and parents manage food allergies in the school setting. FAAN participants included members of our Teen Advisory Group and our Medical Advisory Board.

FAAN will continue to collaborate on food-allergy-related projects with these and other groups, such as the National Association of School Nurses (NASN) and the National School Boards Association (NSBA).
