Milk Allergy Alert: Rudolph Foods

On Jan. 11, FAAN sent out an alert based on the recall information posted by the USDA on Saturday, Jan. 9. Simultaneously, the FDA posted a recall that included two other products in addition to the product listed in the USDA announcement. FAAN posted an alert on Feb. 22 which included the two products that were not mentioned on the Jan. 9  recall from the USDA. Thus, FAAN's Feb. 22 alert is a reiteration of all products that were recalled originally on Jan. 9.

Rudolph Foods is recalling “Pepe’s Louisiana Hot Gigante Cracklins,” “7-Select Louisiana Hot Onion Rings,” and “Rudolph’s Louisiana Hot OnYums” due to undeclared milk.

Pepe’s Louisiana Hot Gigante Cracklins were distributed in California. Rudolph’s Louisiana Hot OnYums and 7-Select Louisiana Hot Onion Rings were distributed in Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington.

The products being recalled are 3.5-oz. Pepe’s Louisiana Hot Gigante Cracklins, UPC # 0-24622-51131-7 and code date March 19, 2010; 1 5/8-oz. 7-Select Louisiana Hot Onion Rings, UPC # 0-52548-05785-5 and code dates Feb. 26, 2010 through April 30, 2010; and 8-oz. Rudolph’s Louisiana Hot OnYums, UPC # 0-24622-57079-6 and code dates Feb. 5, 2010 and March 12, 2010.
