FAAN CEO Julia Bradsher to Speak to Grocery Employees about Food Allergies
In keeping with a commitment to raising awareness and educating others about food allergies, Julia Bradsher, CEO of FAAN (the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network), will be discussing food allergies during Publix Super Market’s annual training of food safety and quality assurance employees.
Bradsher will be providing Publix associates with valuable perspectives from consumers with food allergies as well as insights into developments surrounding food allergy.
“The food allergy community relies on food industry professionals to maintain exceptional safety standards to protect them from potentially life-threatening reactions,” Bradsher said. “I am honored to make a presentation at this meeting and I commend Publix for working proactively to take into consideration the needs of families and individuals managing food allergies.”
The annual meeting, which will be held in Lakeland, Fla., on Nov. 4, is attended by Publix employees who are directly involved with food safety at various levels including manufacturing, distributing, and retail.
