Jeans for Food Allergies

Jeans for Food Allergies Day is a program to promote food allergy awareness and raise funds for FAAN! It is a quick and easy way to get your entire office involved. Have fun at the office by organizing a day where everyone can wear jeans!" Jeans for Food Allergies" sticker.

Who takes part in Jeans for Food Allergies Day?
Everyone loves the idea of wearing jeans to work. Wearing jeans creates a relaxed working environment, and staff members gain personal satisfaction from contributing to a worthwhile cause.

How does the program work?
For the privilege of wearing jeans to work for a day, participants are asked to make a donation, usually $5. All employees who participate get to wear a “Jeans for Food Allergies” sticker. When a company commits to participate, FAAN will send Jeans for Food Allergies stickers and tips for having a successful event. After the event, please return the remaining stickers to FAAN along with a check for the total amount raised.

How do I get involved?

  1. Talk to your company about holding a Jeans for Food Allergies and pick a date.
  2. Call FAAN at (800) 929-4040 at least a month before the date of your event so that you can get stickers. You will need to tell FAAN the date of your event, the number of employees in your organization that you expect to participate, your company name, address, point of contact, and phone number.
  3. Spread the word about the event.
  4. Have a great time! FAAN loves getting pictures, take some at your event and e-mail them to faan@foodallergy.org.
  5. Make a donation online or mail a check for the amount raised to FAAN with the donation submission form that you receive with the stickers.

Tips:

  • If jeans are not acceptable attire, have a Crazy Tie Day, Hat Day, or Hawaiian Shirt Day!
  • If your company has a matching gift program, apply for it and double your donation!
