The individual/family membership is designed for people with food allergies and their families and caregivers. For less than 15 cents a day, you can become a FAAN member and receive:

  • Food Allergy News: FAAN's official bi-monthly publication is packed with practical tips and strategies for managing food allergies, allergen-free recipes, and the latest on food allergy research and legislative efforts. Whether you want advice on dining out, managing a birthday party, reading food labels, or sending your child to school, child care, or camp, you will find it here.
  • Food Allergy News for Kids: This four-page newsletter is written exclusively for, and mailed directly to, children. Published every other month, it is loaded with fun and games, and includes stories and tips from children about how they handle their allergies.
  • Significantly discounted event registration fees.
  • At least a 10% discount on all items sold by FAAN.
  • “Members Area” of the FAAN website, which includes the following:
    • Archived newsletters
    • Member only e-newsletters
  • Special Allergy Alerts by mail, when companies pay to have them distributed (you may also sign up to receive alerts by e-mail at www.foodallergy.org)

In addition to the benefits listed above, membership dollars directly support all the work FAAN does behind the scenes including: supporting members in advocating change, providing members with tools to educate family, schools, colleges, and restaurants, and counseling members on support group development.
