FAAN Day at the Washington Capitals
The Washington Capitals and FAAN have teamed up to bring you a special opportunity to see the Caps play the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday, January 13, at 1 p.m. at the Verizon Center.
The Capitals have graciously arranged for a special area of seats for FAAN members and their friends and family. The seating area will be cleaned before the game to remove food remnants. The seats are also being offered at the special discount price of $29 per seat.
The FAAN block is sold out, and online orders are now closed. There are still some seats available at the FAAN discount in other sections of the arena. For more information, please contact Jeff Keeney at (202) 266-2345.
Capitals defenseman Tom Poti, who has a food allergy, will join us after the game and talk about how he manages his food allergy and how it hasn’t prevented him from being a long-time professional hockey player. You may recognize Tom from FAAN’s Friends Helping Friends DVD.
If you have any questions, please e-mail events@foodallergy.org.
This is a great opportunity to meet other people in the area who have food allergies. And while we can’t ask people who aren’t a part of FAAN not to bring food to their seats, we ask that you help keep each other safe by not bringing any food to the special seating area. We hope to see you there!
