Country Star and FAAN Spokesperson Trace Adkins Finalist on “The Celebrity Apprentice”

Trace Adkins

Trace Adkins may not have been crowned “The Celebrity Apprentice” on the season finale, but he still came out a big winner and accomplished exactly what he set out to do -
raise money and awareness for the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN), a cause near and dear to his heart. In the process, the show introduced a humble, funny and genuinely good person to millions of Americans who may not listen to country music.

Adkins, who has long been a staple on the country charts, played the game with integrity and dignity throughout the entire season. And during the final showdown, he was clearly the overall favorite who had won the hearts of his fellow contestants.

While Trump may have made his decision based on dollar signs and not heartstrings, he was obviously a fan of Adkins, saying, “He’s a hell of a singer and one of the nicest guys to ever be in my boardroom. ... You’re a
really special guy, a special human being, and I'll always love you.”

Adkins competed in business-driven tasks around New York City to raise money and awareness for FAAN, his designated charity. Throughout the series, over a million dollars was raised for various charities.

“I decided to do this show because I wanted to help raise awareness for the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN),” says Adkins, who has a daughter with severe food allergies. “I don’t think many people are aware that so many children are developing food allergies these days. Something we’re doing has to be causing this, and we’ve got to figure out what it is.”
