Food Allergy Awareness Week

Help spread the word about Living and Learning With Food Allergies during the 11th Annual Food Allergy Awareness Week (FAAW), May 11-17, 2008. This week is devoted to food allergies. There are lots of ways to get involved—visit a local ambulance provider to learn about epinephrine, hang posters, have a fundraiser, talk to legislators, everything helps. The following resources will help you get involved.

  • Would you like to help raise money for food allergy awareness? Learn about Food Allergy PAL™ Day, along with steps to success (.pdf ~289kb)in planning this fundraiser.

  • Does your state recognize FAAW? E-mail advocacy@foodallergy.org to see if your state has been contacted to issue a proclamation. If not, download a sample letter (.pdf ~11kb) and proclamation (.pdf ~39kb), and send your governor a request to declare Food Allergy Awareness Week.
